I made\u00a0this car composite where I shot both the car and the background during the day, <a title=\"Cutting out a photo from background &amp; refine edge tutorial\" href=\"http:\/\/photoshopcafe.com\/tutorials\/refine-edge\/refine-edge.htm\">cut out the car<\/a> and dropped it into this scene. \u00a0I changed the mood to nighttime as well as a raining evening. The big problem with this composite is that the car&#8217;s lights are off and we need them on. (max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Step 8<\/h3>\n<p>Now for some beams.<\/p>\n<p>Create a new layer and set it to Screen mode<\/p>\n<p><a (max-width: 310px) 100vw, 310px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Step 9<\/h3>\n<p>Paint some lines beneath the lights, make the brush size the same as the lights.<\/p>\n<p><a (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Step 10<\/h3>\n<p>Choose Filter&gt;Blur&gt;Radial Blur.<\/p>\n<p>Select zoom and set it to about 44<\/p>\n<p><a src=\"http:\/\/photoshopcafe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/lights12_.jpg\" alt=\"lights12_\" width=\"281\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Step 11<\/h3>\n<p>Here you can see the lights smoothened out to beams (Sometimes I also apply a gaussian blur at this point, I didn&#8217;t on this image, but it might have looked better).<\/p>\n<p><a (max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Extra Credit<\/h3>\n<p>Here I applied the lighting effects to different parts of the photograph where there are lights.<\/p>\n<p>I also painted over the top of some bright areas and blurred them to look like streaks and lens flares that you might see on a wet evening, the way that rain makes light distort into the lens of a camera.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/photoshopcafe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/lights16_.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7389\"
